Who looks after your information
FreeStack is a service of Wetton&Co Ltd, the controller of newsletter signup information. Contact support@freestack.co.uk about your information.
What we collect and why
When you choose to subscribe, we store your email address, the date and source of signup, the exact consent wording and privacy notice version, and any later withdrawal. We use your consent to send one curated FreeStack roundup each month: stacks, community questions, top-signalled products and workflows for specific builds. The roundup includes a clearly labelled advertisement for The Digital Academy’s website audit. We do not send unrelated marketing or add you to TDA’s mailing list. Signup is optional and browsing does not require consent. This signup does not create an account or unlock private stacks.
How your information is handled
Signup records are stored in the FreeStack website database, hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Resend processes your email address and subscription status on our behalf to deliver the monthly newsletter and handle unsubscribes, bounces and complaints. Access to subscriber information is restricted to the site owner and the services needed to operate the newsletter. We do not publish or sell your email, or add you to unrelated brands’ mailing lists. Earlier signups that did not consent to the TDA advert receive a version without it. Keeping and removing information
We keep active signup records while you remain subscribed and the record is needed for the mailing list. We review records periodically and remove information that is no longer needed. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing and retain a limited suppression and consent record as needed to honour your choice and demonstrate how it was handled.
Your choices and rights
Withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in a FreeStack monthly email or email support@freestack.co.uk. Withdrawal does not affect processing before withdrawal. You can ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy where applicable. A minimal suppression record may still be needed to prevent unwanted contact. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
Technical information
The form uses a short-lived, hashed network identifier for rate limiting and a hidden spam field. Your raw IP address is not stored in the subscriber record. Hosting providers may process technical logs to run and protect the site. This form does not set advertising cookies or subscribe you to tracking.
