FREESTACK HELP

A few useful answers.

Do limited free plans count?

Yes. A tool needs a useful, ongoing free option. We list its limits and paid extras separately. Trial-only products do not qualify.

How do I suggest a tool?

Suggest a tool with its website and a short explanation of what’s free. The form prepares an email to our editor. We review the provider’s current offering before adding it.

Do I need an account to save tools?

No. Tools, stacks and notes can be saved in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data removes them; they do not sync to another device. Existing signed-in accounts retain their account storage.

Does newsletter signup create an account?

No. It subscribes you to email updates using your chosen consent settings. It does not back up or sync your browser-saved stacks.

When does the newsletter arrive?

The monthly roundup is scheduled for the 28th. Sign up here; unsubscribe using the link in any email.

What if a price or link has changed?

Use Report an issue on a tool preview or email support@freestack.co.uk with the listing URL and what needs checking.

Can I advertise?

Send an advertising enquiry. Paid placements are labelled, and advertising does not remove the requirement for a useful free offering.

FOR THE MAKERS

A good find can change
your whole project.

FreeStack is a collection of useful tools and resources for graphic designers, web designers, illustrators and curious creatives. Built by designers, with discoveries from the community.

What does “free” mean here?

Free

A tool or library with a usable free offering.

Free plan

An ongoing free tier with limits. Paid upgrades may exist.

Free resources

Free downloads within a wider library. Check the individual asset’s licence.

Pricing and licences can change. Each listing explains the free offering and links to the provider. Please check its current terms before using a resource in client work. Spot something outdated? Use “Report an issue” on the tool page.

Free to explore. Clear about support.

Our featured picks are editorial unless labelled as advertising. If a placement is paid, we label it Sponsored. When a link can earn FreeStack a commission, we label it as an affiliate or referral link before you visit. A featured spot does not change a tool’s free-plan requirements.

How submissions are checked

We check provider pages for explicit ongoing free-plan evidence and compare submitted details and images with the provider. Clear matches can be approved automatically. Unclear pricing, custom content, free-software licences and failed checks go to an editor. These checks can miss things; report any listing that looks wrong.

Your stack stays yours.

Without an account, tools, stacks and notes are saved only in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data removes them. Existing signed-in accounts keep their stacks privately in their account. Newsletter signup does not create an account or sync your stacks. When you choose Share stack, a separate public snapshot contains only your chosen title, public name, introduction and catalogue tools. You can turn its link off at any time. Submitted tools and images become visible in the catalogue after approval; your submission email stays private.
